Der NATURA 2000 Oroklini See ist ein nat\u00fcrlicher Sumpfsee, der aufgrund seiner halophytischen Sumpfvegetation auch unter der Habitat-Richtlinie als GGB eingestuft wurde. Der See liegt im Herzen der Insel, 10 km von der Stadt Larnaka entfernt und gilt als Paradies f\u00fcr Vogelliebhaber und als eines der sch\u00f6nsten Brutgebiete f\u00fcr Schwarzfl\u00fcgelstelzenl\u00e4ufer und spornfl\u00fcgelige Kiebitze auf ganz Zypern. Er bietet Lebensraum f\u00fcr mehr als 180 Vogelarten, darunter den beliebten Flamingo. Er zieht auch Watv\u00f6gel, M\u00f6wen und Enten an.
